Carter Beauford has one of the most instantly recognisable styles in drumming today. His open handed aproach allows him to perfom delicate ride patterns whilst playing ghost notes on the hi-hat, giving his grooves an interesting, layered sound & a free flowing feel. His double bass chops & splash cymbal flourishes add colour to any song he plays. Most importantly though, even when playing intricate, complicated segments, Carter still manages to do his job; playing exactly what is right for the song, never overplaying, or stepping on the other musicians toes.
