heyy guys and girls, ive been listening to a lot of dream theater recently and realised how good mike portnoy actually is.

ive been listening to their greatest hits cd so i guess there must be most of the good drumming songs in there, but i thought how good the album for drumming is on the whole... there are some great fills and beats.

anyways, id like for people to share their favourite drumming songs or albums.
i think it would be a good oppertunity to see what kind of songs and styles you guys are into and give other members some varied drumming education

even if people dont go and buy albums on peoples advice, at least youtube the odd song and get some new inspiration

ill start off with advising- greatest hit (and 21 other cool songs) by dream theater, and especially the song take the time (2007 remix).

please get involved and interested

jack

I like drumming to pretty much any Avenged Sevenfold. Incubus is also fun to cover, A crow left to murder by them is a fun CD with lots of little grooves and such haha. I also like drumming to Pantera, Vinnie Paul is my biggest influence.

When I play along to people it usually Rush which can be challenging. and if not Barenaked ladies. their drummer Tyler Stewart isn't the best but he is technically skilled.

Anything by The Police is usually fun to play, especially from their 1st album.
