Hi everyone,

I've been drumming since I was 2 years old. (really!) I got my first zildjian ride cymbal when I was 5. Ever since then, I fell in love with Zildjian. Currently, (I'm 16 now), I have a DW kit with the following cymbals:

13" A Custom HiHat
14" A Custom (thin?) Crash
17" A Zildjian Crash
6" ZilBel
20" A Custom Ping Ride
8" (possibly 10") K Custom Hybrid Splash

I love all of my cymbals - and I got some money for Christmas. I want to purchase another splash and I just heard about the brand "Wuhan." On amazon, they sell 2 splashes for 60 bucks!

Do any of yall know anything about this company? Worth buying? Cymbals sound good?

Thanks alot.

~Spence

Wuhan is an aquired taste, they are pretty good when it comes to effect cymbals but they are pretty "trashy" sounding. It might pay to go hear one at a local music store if possible? I've never been a believer in buying cymbals over the internet, every cymbal sounds different so I like to hear them in person. I say that because you've got a nice setup. You might be able to google or youtube Wuhan as well to hear some samples (although consider microphone coloring, etc.).

Yep, have to agree there - always buy your cymbals in person. . .
I have a 14" Wuhan china, and it pretty much sounds like a trash can lid. They tend to be (like JDog said) pretty trashy and dark overall, although the splashes are a bit thinner than other brands.

It makes ya wonder if some of the older cymbals (if taken care of) actually sounded better and were made better than some of the stuff today..
