hi all,
I haven't yet my personal drumset, because it's usual for me to play in some school or however centers where I find several drumsets for hire.....of course waiting for my room will be ready for playing without all neighbors are coming!!!! mad
My only cymbal I own is a 10 Paiste Metal Splah: it sounds so good!!!
But, coming back to the principle argument, I've tried a lot of cymbals:Zildjian, Paiste, Turkish, Ufip and also Sabian, more other cheep chinese sets.
At the end of the day, if I could, I'd play a mix between them and surely I'll not buy a set.

Hey guys I've been drummin for a year and a half. And i was wondering which cymbals to buy. I like Sabian's and Zildjian's cymbals a lot. But which one should i choose? And which are the ones that chip and crack over time? I'm thinking of getting ZHT zildijian cymbals 2 crashes a ride and a hats but im not sure... Which of the two are better?

It really has a lot to do with preference - Zildjian and Sabian are both great choices. Paiste is alright, but they definitely have a "different" type of sound (almost airier or crisper - it's hard to pinpoint).

ZHt, from what I hear, is a good line of cymbals. You might also consider some good old Zildjian A's. Sabian AA's or AAX's might also be good choices - it's a good idea to play a bunch of different models and make sure you like what you are getting.

Good luck with the cymbal search!

I had a Paiste 16" Signature Series Fast Crash and I thought that it had the most Brilliant sound I had ever Heard and I have had a lot of cymbals but that was just that particular cymbal by Paiste
