Hey what's up everyone. It's been a while since I posted lol. Anyways, I was looking at buying the Sabian B8 Cymbal pack. It comes with:

- 14" Hi-hats
- 14", 16", and 18" Crashes
- 20" Ride
- 10" Splash

I was wondering if anyone has any reviews for these cymbals or recommends them. I mean of course I could google search it but since this is a drum forum I thought I could get better help here =). So if anyone has these or has played these let me know xD.

I have a B8 pro 8" splash (my only Sabian cymbal), but I have also played the B8's at stores/churches/on other kits. . .

They are good cymbals for the money, and the ride esp. has a good sound for being inexpensive (nicer bell than the Zildjian equivalent ZBT)

The hi-hats are okay as well, and have good response, but they're thicker than you would expect.

The crashes are really the low point of the set - they tend to be very bright, and relatively loud, with less room for dynamics. I would assume that the splash is similar to the one I own - it's also very bright, and can cut through the entire rest of the kit (it's also thicker than you would expect.)

Overall, if Sabian is what you like, and if you can live with the crashes, the B8's are a pretty decent set of cymbals.

Ive got B8s (16" thin, 20" ride and 14"hi hats) and i love them.
The ride is very clean as are the hi-hats, the crash is good but as MJS said its very loud, and if you are playing a style that isnt necessarily loud, then you might consider them as a bit of a let down.

id encourage anyone to get them, especially if you like sabians.

Not sure where you're located, but here in Ontario Canada, I recently bought a Zildjian Custom A pack with hats, 2 crashes and a ride for $535 + tx

Don't forget to check local pawn shops and craigslist in your area - you may get more cymbal for your dollar than buying new

brighter sound, reliable, a little more expensive than other makes of similar quality, but still worth the money

Yes, they are definitely brighter - they pretty much cut through any mix of music.

Hi everyone!!!
I'm not really strong in english, cause live in Russia =)) So, don't beat me for my words =)))

So, Sabian B8 symbals not bad for start, but if you buy it, I let you to carry some money to change them to pro symbals ....

Some years ago i was playin' on B8 ... I prefer AAX series cause of they are good for any style of music and dymanics ... That's just what i need =)))
