I have a B8 pro 8" splash (my only Sabian cymbal), but I have also played the B8's at stores/churches/on other kits. . .
They are good cymbals for the money, and the ride esp. has a good sound for being inexpensive (nicer bell than the Zildjian equivalent ZBT)
The hi-hats are okay as well, and have good response, but they're thicker than you would expect.
The crashes are really the low point of the set - they tend to be very bright, and relatively loud, with less room for dynamics. I would assume that the splash is similar to the one I own - it's also very bright, and can cut through the entire rest of the kit (it's also thicker than you would expect.)
Overall, if Sabian is what you like, and if you can live with the crashes, the B8's are a pretty decent set of cymbals.

Ive got B8s (16" thin, 20" ride and 14"hi hats) and i love them. The ride is very clean as are the hi-hats, the crash is good but as MJS said its very loud, and if you are playing a style that isnt necessarily loud, then you might consider them as a bit of a let down.
id encourage anyone to get them, especially if you like sabians.

Hi everyone!!! I'm not really strong in english, cause live in Russia =)) So, don't beat me for my words =)))
So, Sabian B8 symbals not bad for start, but if you buy it, I let you to carry some money to change them to pro symbals ....
Some years ago i was playin' on B8 ... I prefer AAX series cause of they are good for any style of music and dymanics ... That's just what i need =)))

hi all, I haven't yet my personal drumset, because it's usual for me to play in some school or however centers where I find several drumsets for hire.....of course waiting for my room will be ready for playing without all neighbors are coming!!!! My only cymbal I own is a 10 Paiste Metal Splah: it sounds so good!!! But, coming back to the principle argument, I've tried a lot of cymbals:Zildjian, Paiste, Turkish, Ufip and also Sabian, more other cheep chinese sets. At the end of the day, if I could, I'd play a mix between them and surely I'll not buy a set.

I use those cymbals at basketball games with a pepband (Just look at my picture, same cymbals!)
Not a bad set, Loud, but decent. They have a nice sizzle sound. I think its always better to buy cymbals individually though. I am very happy with the cymbals that I use at home, which I bought separately. If you're going to spend 700 bucks, try going to a guitar center with a drum stick and hit every single cymbal they have. You may find some great combinations for even less than $700. I love Zildjian, but theres a lot of good cymbal companies out there.
The A Customs are definitely nice, but I agree that buying a package for $700 might be a little bit hasty without actually hearing the cymbals together. I've been a loyal Zildjian K/A guy for many years, but I've been very impressed with the new Sabian HH and HHX line.
